Water droppings

Some pictures of water droppings that I have been taking. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

These shots are absolutely gorgeous. I wish I had the knowledge to do that. Do you have an electronic sensor to fire the shutter or is it trial and error?

Thank you. Its a very simple setup. One cake pan filled with water, with a plastic bag held above the pan for the water drops. I use folders for my backgrounds to reflect off the water. Right now I only have three types of folders two of them are in the pictures above. The camera is a Nikon D5100 with kit lens, and a off camera flash. The settings are, f/8, iso 100, 1/200, and I believe the focal distance is 55mm. I will set everything up and take a picture this weekend. I will also be making a gallery sometime this weekend with more water drops, and crowns.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did look at my filter and seen that it had hard water deposits on the surface. Like newbshooter said, this could have caused the spots. I added some more pics to the members gallery, if you have time please check them out. Thanks again for the help, Mike.
