Liz and I are travelling South down the I5 to southern Washington in June, stopping with friends in Longview on the Oregon border. I'm looking for suggestions for places (photogenic) to visit in that area. Mainly interested in scenery and wildlife.

peace arch @ blaine, wa. Border crossing then folow the water around drayton harbor to semiahmao down to birch bay and birch bay state park.

South of bellingham chuckanut drive (state route 11) very old road and narrow. La conner (antiques/tourist town) anacortes (sunset beach/washington park}. Skagit wildlife area near conway, wa (snow geese and swans will be gone) good place to get raspberries and strawberries. Mt. St helens (long drive from i 5) nice day trip from longview.
