I researched and found nothing in this regard. Bought the upgrade to LR 6 and just cannot stand going backward in performance so uninstalled it and use 5.7. It seems really strange that Adobe is aware of the slower condition of the new release and has yet to address the issue in earnest. Heck, I woulda paid for an update to 5 that made it work with the new models, how hard would that be for the developers?

I'll see if changing the index.dat while adding another cam profile to the list will work. I don't use LR any longer so it doesn't matter if I screw it up. It might not be that complicated to add a cam profile to the standalone version.

Edit: I tried adding the profiles and adding the required line to the index.dat but the import module still doesn't recognize the files. It will require finding the exact file that contains the import code and tweaking that which is beyond my capabilities.

Another trick might be replacing an older cam profile with the new one but not changing the old name structures and then changing the new cam's EXIF so it (to LR) becomes the type of which you changed the profile.

Don, I am talking about the exif that shows up when you post a picture at the bottom left. Not from software that reads exif like yours does. I'm strictly talking Lightroom exif data.

The lens profile worked last night. Just about every time i use it lately there is an update. I guess they got it fixed.
