nope was stood on top of a tranny van lol was my first visit, wet windy, blew some good shots due to it catching me by surprise with the speed it went past lol noob

Nice images of her taking off John, unfortunately she didn't make it to her destination of The Goodwood Revival or Old Sarum Airshow as she developed a Fuel leak. I know this as I was at Old Sarum having driven for nearly three hours to get there by 10.30, show started at 13.30 with the Vulcan due to appear at 16.40. At 16.35 they announced she had technical problems and had to turn back to Doncaster. I did get to see lots of other great planes such a Spifires, Mustang and a B-17 but I had gone to the show purely for the Vulcan and to say I was gutted would be a under statement.

Yes was a shame, I was worried she wouldnt make Southport airshow on (Saturday 19th) but luckily it was a minor leak and was fixed quickly, back up and flying lets hope she behaves herself till retirement

The Vulcan display at Southport Air Show this weekend was awesome! Acompanied by the Red Arrows on the way in and then completing a solo display.

Taken on my D3100 with 70-300mm lens at 1/500th. Unfortunately these images lost a bit of definition cropping (slightly) and saving to Photobucket but I still have the originals

Wonderful shots.
Hubby and I were out walking in Derbyshire yesterday and we had just sat down for lunch when we heard a roar of engines and wondered what was happening... low and behold over the tree line appeared this beauty... I was so pleased... but so disappointed too.. yesterday was the first day I had walked there and NOT took the camera (due to a bad back) Now I am kicking myself, so thanks for sharing

I went to Robin Hood Airport for the take off. It flew directly over the house on return.
