Thanks for giving me heaps of support Jonas :D Almost there....and thoughts will then turn to the 52 in 2015 :D I must be mad!!

Heh. Just let the madness flow, then :) Taking the 52 best shots of your thread would make for a high concentration of great shots :)
For a brief moment I also contemplated going for a 52, but I think I will probably not after all. Then again, a 52 with focus on macro could be very interesting.

Great shots Vixen. I think you have made tremendous strides in 2014 although clearly that Australian sun has gotten to you if you are already into the next challenge.

If you start it, you can drop out, but I don't think the rules allow you to start partway thru. The rules allow a pretty flexible set of criteria that you set yourself, so you can make it easy for yourself if you do think you'd like to do it.

Thankyou Lawrence. I think I have made big strides too. I have tried a lot of things I wouldn't have tried had I not been doing the 365 :D

Well, that's it!! Finito :D

On 1st Jan 2014 I had no desire to do a 365, but my good friend started one and suggested I might join her, so on 2nd Jan when my new D7100 arrived I thought...why not!!

I have to say that although I found some days & weeks extremely hard and some of my attempts at various things VERY frustrating, I am really glad I stuck it through. This is the first photo challenge I have completed. EVER. I've tried a few and failed and yet the 365 is probably one of the hardest because it is a full years worth. I did it :D I am so proud of myself for just finishing as I am one of the biggest non-finishers out there :D

Thankyou to everyone that dropped by and offered support and encouragement or just acknowledged that they had bothered to look. I would have given up without that support especially after my friend (on FaceBook) dropped out late in the year. It was she that got me into this after all and we were each others main support.

I have learnt many new post processing tricks. I still don't get layers as well as I should, but that will come I hope. I feel that my photography in general has improved vastly. I think the effort was worth it.

1st Jan 2015......365/365.......STOP!!

OK...don't mind if I do :D

Are you sure you "breached" the rules? I thought you could start anytime up to the 7th of January.
I was gutted to learn that you may not officially qualify - please check.

I understood it that you had to start posting before 15th Jan, and I didn't start posting till Feb or March coz I didn't find the 365 on here till Feb. I started mine on FB originally.

The conditions read.....

To be eligible you must:

  • produce your own images
  • post 365 photos in a thread in the 365 forum - "username's 365 2014"
  • take at least one picture on the corresponding day of the year (with the exception of the Jan 15th rule below)
  • label what day each photo corresponds to, "Day #"
  • start your 365 no later than Jan 15th (must still post previous 15 photos)
  • be able to receive an Amazon gift card

It was going to be camera down for a while......however, I have still taken a shot every day. So now I'm thinking........ :D
