Went to Nikonusa.com to download ViewNX2, but its not for sale or free.
Had a very bad accident last night with my MacBook falling out of my backpack. And crashing to the ground.
Not good got bent up and now won't even turn on. So I need to download ViewNX2 on my p.c.
Can't find my disk that came with the D7100.
Are should I just get CaptureNX2
Thanks

Don,
Does that Mac see the card on the desktop? Also go to Apple System Profiler (aka About this Mac) Click on more info then click on system report and see if the card is being accessed. If familiar in terminal you use this command "diskutil list" hit enter and see if its there? The point of impact was it near the card reader slot? You may have to get a card reader to see if the ports near the card reader did not have a solder break. You could use the graphic Disk Utility to se if shows up.

Sorry for the loss; I can just imagine your "pain".

No I can't even get it turned on it hit by the drive. Took it to a computer place to see if at least they can save the stuff on the drive. He said he couldn't. So went to apple store and they said if they could it would cost me about $1,500.00. So now I'm trying to get it done on my P.C. laptop. Its reading the camera cause it says its there. But the upload does not happen.

Not sure which macbook you have but check this site out:Mac Repair - iFixit my daughter had a 17 inch Mac Book Pro and the screen was only the upper third. She had come across a site that said to do this and that to it. I (67yr old) tried to explain that it was not the affected Nvidia GPU because she had an ATI GPU. Nevertheless I did what she asked it would come an go. I said it works fine on the output to an external monitor so it has to be either the cable or the screen. Since I had no access to either. Anyway I told her to send it TechRestore and I would foot the bill. It needed a new screen. Anyway at iFixit it should tell you how to take it apart. SO you hear no chime and feel no vibration; how far did it drop? Did you try hooking it to an external monitor? If it hit the drive it is kaput that has moving parts. The 1500$ is data recovery. We used to got Hamventions looking for drives that were the same as one that died and swapped out the circuit board sometime we we lucky.
