Various Crops can make a difference---

Ok, I have been playing around. Here is one photo with four different crops. All the same 3-2 ratio, just in different positions. Opinions on which one is preferred and why, or any other crop options you think would work better. Thanks

I like crop 2 most since it puts me "in" the scene. It's what I'd see would I be standing in the water. The others are either too close or like crop 3, just too far.

Crop #1 for me, it enhances what I consider the focal point of the shot. There is just too much uninteresting foreground in the other shots. #4 is close but cuts off the bank too much.

Sorry I haven't responded to this thread, but I haven't had much internet access for a week or so. Just catching up now. Personally, I like the original shot because I wanted to focus on the source of the water filling up the road in the foreground. Then I started cropping and couldn't make up my mind. For me it is one of those scenes that when I look at it (depending on my mood at the time) interest changes. I hope that makes sense. In crop 4, I like the mystery of what is beyond the opening where the water is coming from.

Thanks to all who have taken the time to comment.
@mikew What tweaks did you do?
