I think I just found a way to sell my N2020 and pay for the kid's college. Post on eBay for $25K without any claim of it being special, then post false rumors on Facebook and Twittter that Justin Beiber used it. Done.

Obviously I don't understand eBay. Can someone explain why are there seven, sequential, ever-increasing, bids posted by the same person over a span of 30 minutes when there are no competing bids in between? I refer specifically to "bidder" d***m who up'ed his/her bid amount from $95,450 to $96,650 in that amount of time and there are others doing the same thing. And why would you bump a bid by two or three thousand dollars, as some "bidders" appear to be doing? I must be missing something.

When you place a bid, it only increments at the prescribed level... an example...

I bid 100...
the bid increment is 10...
you bid 200... but the showing bid+increment is 110...
I bid 120... but you have a proxy in at 200 and are still high bidder...and I get a message that I am not the high bidder..
I start bidding in 10 increments looking for the bottom... maybe 5 or 6 times before I bid 210 and become the high bidder

Fred covered the consistent jumps. This is hardly a good example of typical biddng flow.

You can enter a max bid. If someone places a bid under your max, ebay increases your bid by one increment for you until they reach your max bid.

Well, it's "No Longer Available", so we'll never know the rest of the story. Six rolls of unexposed out-of-code film are probably waiting in the wings for another lucky buyer ....
