He likely just photochops it. Probably finds a suitable Nikon ad and combines the D800e and D600. He probably just used the first part of the D800e to make the D80.

That's what I would do. It's actually a cool idea, I might do it too.

haha thats exactly what I did. Except it is a D80 logo... I just get the black on white versions and "invert" the colours in PS.

I did a little tinkering and came up with my own... little extra credit for the nikonites ad. Now I have to figure out how to save it to my signature.
