Hi,
I'm a new convert to Nikon, I was always a Canon person but I saw a review of the Z8 and knew I wanted one. It has blown my mind. Its capabilities are almost limitless and the image quality is amazing.
My background is as a zoologist then teacher and I use my camera kit mainly to document the natural world although I am strongly drawn to the idea of abstractions and want to do stuff that hasn't been done before. I want to create new views, ideas and interpretations of things, altough my skills may need a bit of work before I can feel satisifed that I've achieved that.
I'm looking forward to meeting new people and learning lots here.

Welcome.

I got a Z8 back in the spring this year. I've been extremely happy with it's performance. I ,too, am primarily interested in nature and wildlife, with a side of macro. Might I suggest looking for a local group or club. My daughter and I joined a local nature photography group a while back and it has been a great resource for us. Not only do they have excellent presentations at the monthly meetings, but the monthly outings have shown us great local places to go and shoot.
