I actually like the B&W. The touched up with the contrast is nice too.

Thanks for your input everyone. I did just order a CPL filter for my wide angle lens. I will revisit this tree as soon as it arrives. This time I should bring my tripod too and bracket for some hot HDR action.
I will also put a bit more time into pp for this photo. I have PSE8, iphoto, and photomatix pro. I'll see what I can do.
