Topaz has 4 products. Denoise, Sharpen and GigaPixel...Those were their 3 core products, each addressing separate issues. Each of those 3 products started to add cross-over features... sharpening and denoise... and then AI was added to Giga... Giga's primary function was adding/upscaling... suitable for iphone jpegs and RAW files that were/are heavily cropped... Then they added "Photo AI"... which combines the 3 core products into a single product. Development on the 3 core products has basically stopped with all resources now being devoted to Photo AI. As AI models have improved, those improved models have been updated/added to Photo AI... This short post is not intended to describe the changes that have occurred in AI in the past year... suffice it to say, they're extensive, which has caused several changes in direction... If you have bought the 3 Topaz core products (their imaging bundle) then you get Photo AI for free, at this point. Photo AI is updated every Thursday evening. Photo AI is where Topaz is headed... I am on their beta team, and there are significant AI improvements and new features already in beta... The 3 core products are no longer being worked on, and will eventually go away as the 2 major OS makers (MS and Apple) lock them out... Photo AI is a work-in-process... but is the direction Topaz is headed...
