Today's a work day so you get another piano people shot.
Used the "artistic-palette knife¨ filter.

You are going to have quite a photo album of client Marcel. You must have a way with them because your subjects always seem to be natural/comfortable with being in your viewfinder!

Thanks Chris. The funny thing is that this particular lady didn't want me to take a picture. And I just said " Ah well but you have to… that's all there is to it". But remember that I've been servicing these customers for over 34 years so there is mutual trust there. And I only take 3 or 4 shots. For me, I can't take more than 5 minutes of their time. If the picture are not so good, I then resort to the magical PS filters. :)

Oh and I forgot, I try to stay away from flash except when backlight is compulsory.

Well you do something right with your manner of persuasion. The lady in this latest shot looks as comfortable as can be.

Now don't you start blaming Pete for having fun at my expense. I truly enjoy the "camaraderie" on this forum.

Nah, I'd keep blaming it on Pete. Rick is right though, there could be much worse professions to photograph. There you go Pete, an idea for a new thread!!!

I learned early on that "Human Shields" really do work! LOL

I'm a canadian distributor for "Maple Leaf flame suits" LOL. I wonder if your Human Shields are more efficient. :)

Too windy for macro of flowers this afternoon, I went for the sky shot. We had some blue for a change.
I combined 2 different processing of the same shot in camera raw, overlapped them and masked the part that I didn't want changed (poor or lazy man's HDR) then played with a few filters.

It seems to have worked pretty well Marcel.

Now let's get real with this HDR stuff. I wasn't too happy with my shot so I went for a walk and came back with these:

This caught my eye today and I couldn't resist HDRing it.

Here is an original jpeg (the underexposed one) for this shot. With all the contrast, you probably will understand why I went HDR
