Time

After shooting clock pictures and realizing the time didn't jive with the camera clock I adjusted the time. Then decided to check my other camera only to find out the minutes were off in a different direction. So the question is how often you check your time setting and are they often off?

Not enough Needa. I've just checked the time on the clock image I posted in the Challenge with it's Exif data and there's nearly 45 minutes difference. A quick check on the camera and yup, it's the camera that's wrong. I'm off to check my other cameras now. <blush>

When I transfer my photos to my computer, ViewNX-i syncs the camera with the computer.

A couple of minutes is no real worry of mine. But I adjust at DST change. I also noticed connecting to Snapbridge app 2 weeks ago that synching time was a check box for Bluetooth.

Like @BF Hammer, I also adjust mine when the time changes. Sometimes my camera bodies wind up being off by a few minutes, but unless I happen to have the camera in hand and notice it, I don't try to adjust it until the next time change.

I checked my camera, it was 32 sec ahed of time. Then I connected my di-GPS, and when that had locket on to some satellites the camera corrected the time automatically. I don't know if there is a setting for this somewhere, or if it's default in the camera.
Otherwise I correct my camera clock too seldom, sometimes I forget to change between summer- and wintertime. Maybe I should use the di-GPS more often!

As far as Daylight savings time I just turn it off or on at the appropriate time. Thanks for the reminders @Marilynne. Since I do that maybe the actual time setting was not checked the last time , just need to remember to check. My image only get moved via a card reader so no connection to a device and not sure it is new enough that it would update any way.
