Wow! That's impressive. Excel is a pretty powerful tool once you start digging into it. It has all of the drawing tools that Word and PowerPoint do (which looks to be what he's using in one of the photos in that article). Once you start incorporating macros, it's even more impressive. We had an Excel sheet at work that would parse a several hundred page document for you, based on what info you told it you were looking for. Beyond my skill level with it, but impressive.
