Thinking of a new D800. Some questions

I have both a D800 and D800E and the E is almost a different camera compared to the 800. So much so I'm considering selling the 800 and either buying another E or the camera that replaces the 800

Very interesting feedback Dave. I thought it was just me that made me like my D800E so much that I became a "snob" for a while. Somehow the initial camera reviewers such as Thom Hogan did not see the difference.
