Those are people who never went to school and made that bench of old doors and widow frames with tools they have.
Not everyone in Thailand has a perfect workshop. Lots of people use the street as their workshop, a hammer, a rusty saw-blade and old nails to do their best.

I started out with less then that. But just like all crafts, you develop your skills or you fail. I have met artisans with virtually nothing to there name and yet, they can produce minor masterpieces. it is not about the tools, it is about the skill of the laborer and his or her desire to create beautiful objects. But wait, i think my soapbox is starting to feel the strain.
