Around my town there are lots of Buddha statues. Yesterday I took this with the 55-300mm.

I love seeing your land and culture, Michael! Things are so different here in the US than there. I loved the images a few pages back with the trees and roots. You captured them very nicely! And I, too, found the photos of the candles being made to be quite fascinating! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful heritage.

Wax pads are almost ready to melt.

People take a wax pad and write their wishes on it, using a needle.

Slow but sure they melt. People let their pads gliding into the pan as well.

Temples in Thailand got lots of different kind of animals. Some people want get rid of their pets and they will put them in a temple. Monks taking care very well, people donate food and money so they can thread the pets well (VET)

Micheal, is there a difference to the monks dress (whatever it is called) one no sleeves and the other long, just wondering if this is by choice or a rank type?????
