The new MonsterAdapter F to Z adapter has officially been announced.

I really have been watching the rumors of this product for a while. However there is a "gotcha" with the initial version.

Note: This product is designed for users who need to use body-driven AF-series lenses, so at the initial stage of marketing, the firmware DOES NOT include support for VR, electromagnetic aperture, and the lens’ built-in focus motor (including AF-I, AF-S, and AF-P) functions. Support will be determined by our company depending on sales and market feedback.

So you would still have need for an actual Nikon FTZ adapter for any AF-S, AF-P, G, VR type lenses.

Did I see correctly that the price tag was to be around $500?

I am not sure it is available yet. Remember tariff uncertainty also.

Now Matt Granger has this adapter in his paws and gave it a tryout at home. Keep in mind it is still very limited and can only be considered as a supplement to the Nikon FTZ adapter to take the screw-focus lenses it cannot.

And yes, at $439 you would have to be wanting to use a lot of old lenses to make it worthwhile.
