The Missus / I need help

My other half is great when it comes to camera stuff. Usually! She has let me invest in everything in my signature without question so far.

However, I dropped into conversation that I might like to get a flash soon (I've been eyeing up the SB-700). Her response this time was "How much?" followed by the inevitable "Haven't you already got one on your camera?!"

10 minutes of me selling the benefits of aftermarket flash to her, she agrees that she won't leave me if I raise the money for the flash by selling photos before buying it. Or, I can wait 12 months and then buy it anyway.

So, being the impatient NAS sufferer that I am, I need help! Best (quickest) way to raise £220 selling photos?!

If cost is the issue, you might also look at the Yongnuo YN565EX flash, more power than SB-700, for 1/3 the price. Available at Amazon, but from China, meaning no warranty.

Ouch.

I have always found it is easier to as forgiveness than to ask permission.

Chocolates, flowers, bubble baths, and massages tend to work in large quantities. Maybe a trip to a day spa may be in order?

When I wanted to buy my SB-700 that was the same response i got from my wife.. "HOW MUCH!!!!!"

Same response when I bought my D7000. I am not even going to tell her how much the D7100 is before I buy it.

Just recently bought myself a SB-700. My wife asked how much it cost. My response: not going to tell you that but cheaper than the zoom lens. She was happy with that or was it the fact that the same evening I booked and bought her the plane ticket and hotel for her trip to Vienna with her best friend?
