Some good points here however

I think we better reserve unethical for those subjects it matters.

Photography never was "pure".

To add: especially his views on photoshopping I find humorous. He should keep in mind that the photographer gets paid to create a product that must meet the demands of the customer. How much it looks like the original subject is irrelevant. How much it looks like the customer has in mind is what it is about.

Go back into history and wonder if those portraits that got painted look exactly as the customer they portray. Some got manipulated more than the photos of this day.
