Wow... do you do glass blowing as well?
Me personally? Not so much... Although I have made several paperweights and stuff in the glass area. By day I'm a mild mannered (HA!) office manager for the Fine Arts department at a college so I'm routinely surrounded by people who paint, draw, sculpt, cast, blow glass, throw clay, et cetera. Then there's the Performing Arts side of the house, which consists of theater, music, and dance but they're technically a different department. It still gives me access to theatrical types, dancers and musicians, though, and that can make for good photographic material as well.

I imagine that is very interesting being around all that. Got to be pretty insperational. These were good photos.

Thank you...

I have to say it is nice to be around so much art so routinely, and too be able to dip my toe in so many different things, like glassblowing. Not too mention I've gained an entirely different viewpoint and appreciation for art. I used to think modern art was just nonsense (Warhol and his soup cans and Jackson Pollock with his inscrutable paint scribbles and what not) but I've learned to appreciate art on a much deeper level even if I can't produce anything truly significant. Art is a really fascinating subject and being around so much art is very... therapeutic, if nothing else. One the best parts of my job though, I have to say, is being around so many young people so much of the time. Keeps me on my toes. :D

Dragged out some old memories for me
Here's hoping they were good ones!

Don't think you'd want to actually play with jacks like this, though...

Weighing three pounds or so, I'd wager three'sies are going to be a bit tricky. Then again, maybe you have reeeally big hands?

Well, it works. So, the hard work paid off.
I am not much of a knickknack person. I tend to gravitate to architectural objects or items are kind of utilitarian. So, I like subjects like old, chippy chairs and thread.

The tone of the entire image is nice.
