I just wanted to thank all of you who have taken your time to both share your vision and your help to those of us who needed it! I've been on this forum just a short time but I've been welcomed and helped as if I was long time friends with you. You more knowledgeable members and staff are helping us newbies tremendously , by sharing your passion and knowledge with us, and most of us recognize and appreciate it very much! Thank you very much! :D

There is just one gift you've given me that I think of as a two edge sword. Just as dangerous to me in a way as it is a help! That gift is................

:D******N*****A******S******:D

lol it's very dangerous to my wallet! Lol :D

As slow as I feel, it might take me forever just to learn the basics! Lol :) But I'm having a blast doing it! Lol :D

Same here having a blast, glad I found this site.
With all the good people on here. And also how active this site is.
There are some photo sites with the last threads from 2012 or longer.
Thanks to all who are here.

The fastest way to improve IMO is to do a project 365, abbreviated for this far into the year. The first couple of weeks is easy. Then it becomes hard because you must get creative when you have shot all the easy stuff around you.

I've been thinking about doing just that lately. Lol :) But due to Pain issues I'm not sure I can get around enough daily to. Sometimes I can do plenty, but then other times just getting through the day is hard enough.
I'm still considering trying to regardless. Thank you my friend for a great suggestion that any learning member should consider. :D

I can't speak for everyone but I think the majority of the active members here do this because they enjoy helping people. Well not all people we do have exclude canon shooters. Hay, we have to have some standards.

I can speak for myself though. I learn something new everyday here. I see an interesting question that I don't know the answer to I will go do some research and see what I come up with. I have seen arguments about different things and I will go out with my camera and shoot to see for myself. I did that with ADL and formed my own opinion and shared the photos with the group.

What I suggest to everyone is to listen with an open mind to every opinion and try new way of doing things but in the end do what you think is best for you at this time.

BUT the most important thing to remember is to have fun with shooting.

I started off photography as a hobby and to shoot my soon to be born daughter (she is 34 now) I went from fun to semi-pro (shooting for money while keeping my full time TV job) then to quitting my job to full time shooting to managing a photo lab while shooting part time to managing multiple labs in multiple states to finally owning two labs of my own. When I got out I was so burned out I did not shoot for 10 years and finally decided that I missed it and got back in. I am shooting some for money again but I will only shoot what I want and how I want. If I can't enjoy it I won't do it.

I'll echo Bill's thank you to all here at Nikonites.com. Not only for the shared information, but also for the inspiration you instill. I have shot more for me in the time I've associated with you than I have in a long time before.

Your enthusiasm has proved to be infectious!!

Thank you.
