That looks like some sort of monstrous insect found only in Ausrtralia.
I do have ideas, but now to make it practicable at a macro level.Looks promising for the insect shots Scott.
But might be a bit difficult to control the reflections on the pen shots, but if anyone can sort it out I have confidence in you to do it
Would you expect anything less lol
I already have an idea in place that can utilise the twin flash unit, the DCR-250 and the Venus 60mm 2:1 Macro. I wonder what results will become from that. That would be a NO
@Ironwood here is another very simple version.
You are seeing two lights diffused in a manner onto a cylindrical foam object.I think you nearly have it there Scott, but the reflection looks sort of smudged, I take it that we are seeing the actual diffuser reflected on the pen.
I will see what I can do, not sure about its portrait ability due to it being a macro set up.Sooo, it's kind of pricey in a way, but also extremely tempting at the same time..... I think I'll still focus on a 2x TC, then a 20mm/2.8 first.
Btw @Scott Murray, can you take a sample portrait or standard shot to showcase this rig's capability for standard application?
