I went to one of my favorite picture-takin' spots and I found this man painting a landscape that I've photographed a hundred times. He was relaxed and quite focused on his work. I asked him if I could take this photo, and he said OK. The buildings in the background are found in more than a few of my photographs.

While not a photograph, I still used photographic post-processing programs to get my desired result. I came across an old advertisement that I wanted to turn into a relative desktop image. Here's the before and after....

I think you go through phases with HDR. I've found that it's easy to "go too far". I'm working back toward more natural looking photos; still using HDR as a tool, but with more control. And (I almost forgot) bracketing WITH the camera is better than manipulating one photo.***

I'm ok with the guitar pic, but even though I lessened the HDR effects on the Tug, I still don't like the treatment in the girders of the bridge. I don't know what I can do about that.

Flamingo Dancer in Madrid, Spain. The dance is very different than I had anticipated. It is very passionate, as you can see in the facial expressions. At the end of the night, my host had actually paid to have me on stage to dance with the troupe. No, there are no available photographs.

Here are some photos I took 4 years ago with my D40X. It's a dreary day, so I decided to bring them back to life.

I'm going to re-post in a smaller format. Thanks Jeff.
