Well, actually, I didn't do it. I got the 70-200 2.8 VRII instead.

While I'd like the extra range, I wouldn't want to give up the speed of the Nikkor 200-400 for what I'd need it for right now.

Iam not knocking ALL sigma lenses I was replying to the post about the comment someone made about the sigma 120-400mm, this was the lens I was referring to, not sigma lenses in general. I do believe Sigma do have some good lenses out there but some are on different levels to others

I impulsively bought a nikkor 80-400 today. Ordered it through amazon
