After becoming more and more frustrated hauling around my D5100 and 55-300 VR lens I decided to try an alternative.....a Panasonic FZ-150. Great camera with 24x zoom, mic input, articulated LCD and HD video with stereo mics built in. So I bit the bullet and sold my Nikon gear. Much more convenient and less cumbersome, plus the IQ is surprisingly good. I think the switch will work out fine for me. Cheers !

I've heard good reports on the FZ 150, ( I wouldnt mind one myself but wont replace my beloved Nikons ) and have used previous models FZ10 and FZ28 - fine cameras indeed

As long as you got a good price for the kit you sold, and the new stuff makes you happy, then that's what matters :)
