Just a swan, cropped and tweaked from the D700 with the old Sigma 28-300mm on board. Sometimes a photo jumps out, this one keeps jumping up and down and waving at me, this has had a small amount of HDR post processing to bring it out a little further.

This is the original

Comments on either welcome :)

As for an animal portrait I actually prefer the original. The swan's own back serves as a high key background, so I think it works pretty well.

The swan's head/neck is too 'dirty' looking for my preference so I like the head/neck of the original version; however, I like its back on the edited version because it shows more contrast.

LOL seems I have split opinion on this one, To be fair what grabs me it the sharpness of the shot with the water droplets and all.

I have re-done the image trying to make it a little softer.

I like both processed images, but maybe that green stuff down left corner should be removed?

Ah water, couldnt see that. And maybe, actually, it gives a nice curve, more or less the same curve as on the neck of the swan, right side.
