Yes that is a great area to shoot landscape photos.
wish i had the extra money for it.
When I'm at work driving through that area
i always wish i had time and in a car instead of
a tractor-trailer.
If you can go on this trip its worth it.

I would jump at something like this if I had the funds.
One cool thing is you know you are going to a place that is great to photograph.
I think on would need a bit more (and better) gear than I have though to really enjoy it.
