Sub-Selector on Z6II

I have a z6II, and I would like to have the sub-selector button work so I can move my focus point. How do I engage the operation of this button?

Try Custom Setting Menu, f Controls, f2 custom controls

In addition to the above (ensuring its at default) the Z6II manual page is below. Be sure you are using a mode where the point "moves"
