Strong uptick in adverts on Nikonites

 Since my last visit on a machine I've noticed WAY more ads than I remember seeing on Nikonites. What is the deal? I know we all have to pay our server dues, but...

Ron is correct, if you're not logged in, you get lots of ads. If I ask my husband to look at something on Nikonites on his laptop, there are ads for every couple of posts.

Nothing new has been added in about a year. The ads under the first and last post on a page have always been there for guests. I did add an ebay and amazon box to the product pages under the description, but that was the last change. (that and the subtraction of ads in pictures for guests)

I'm considering taking away more ads for 'established' members (200 experience points) if they are seen as too much of a nuisance.

I believe this is what I was seeing. The system logs me out if I'm idle for about three and a half minutes so I constantly think I'm logged when in reality, I'm not :banghead:

I had the log out problem with IE. Don't have the problem with Firefox.

As Marilynne said, if you using IE - stop :)
It's quite ancient so as to speak but without any vintage value..

I've been a member here since last May i think & i haven't been logged out even once..
I use Firefox, Chrome or Safari... dependent on nothing but my mood at that time :)
but never IE

I don't see an issue John. Sites like this don't pay for themselves without such things :)
Keep up the great work!
