Every year for the past 20 years, my town has a "Light Up the Town" celebration. On this one night (first Saturday after Thanksgiving) our population grows from 7,500 to about 12,000. All businesses participate with free food, and fun for the kids. It's a great time. All the downtown businesses light up their buildings, and we get a visit from Santa. Truly "Small Town America".

Stairs at the bottom of the street where I grew up. I must have walked up these steps a million times. I haven't been here in nearly forty years. Looks like they don't maintain these anymore.

A watch that I received for Christmas. What's so special about a Timex? It was founded in the city - Waterbury, Ct - that I grew up in. Everyone (including me) had relatives working there. This is a 160th anniversary special limited run, named "The Waterbury". Heavy leather band, large dial. Made to look like a vintage watch.

Old factory back in the town I grew up in. My Dad worked here his whole life, until he retired in 1976.
It's been closed and neglected for the past 20 years.
