I'm jealous as we have a caravan in Ingleton just down the road but couldn't go this week. I'm doing the three peaks challenge next weekend and we are starting from Ribblehead.

Very nice, thanks for sharing. How close were you to the train at closest? The sight, sound and maybe even smell woulda been saturating. Not a frequent sight anywhere these days and coming across that viaduct is a splendid sight.

Thanks Bourbon , maybe 200 mtrs at the closest , it's a very famous route Settle to Carlisle and also very steep
for steam engines , so yes the sound is awesome , and the smell , as we were downwind was ahh smelly ?
Probably not , a good description but anyone who knows trains will understand what I mean , a nice smelly
Also because of the incline the engine us working hard which is why there's lots of smoke , lovely, Going to try again in a week or two hopefully improve
