Okay, sounds like a caching issue for some of you :) Sometimes when something fails to load that 'dirty' page is cached by your browser and it won't retry the next time you load that page because it already has it in your cache. It won't retry again until you clear your cache or ctrl+f5 it. I could go into more detail, but it gets really confusing.

If anything, this site now seems slower to me than before, but is otherwise functional.

Pinging it, I get this:

Everything is SUPER snappy here at work using Firefox (v30) but I'm good at clearing my cache and temp files (everyone should be).

Even Marilynne's 365 loads in a flash.

If you haven't cleaned your computer in a while, or don't go it generally speaking get a copy of CCleaner (it's free!) and yes, Mac Users, there's a version for you, too! A clean computer is a happy, snappy computer!

That's pretty fast.

What happens when you ping nikonites.com ? (without static)

Actually, I'm especially curious what the results of 'ping nikonites.com' are for those of you across the Atlantic.

I spent over an hour tonight trying to get to the main page. Waiting on static.nikonites.com to connect. Once it did load the site is like pouring roofing tar.
