Cleaning my gear tonight, and wanted to see what was on the memory cards. So I pushed the Preview button, and got a black screen.

Hmm. Somethings wrong here. Turn camera off and back on, press the Preview button. Black screen again.

Try it a second time, same results.

OK, so what am I doing wrong? I pick up my second body, turn it on and press the Preview button. I see an image. No problem.

I go back to the first body and try it again. Black screen.

DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT!!!!! My camera is screwed up! Gonna have to send it in.

Oh, wait. I accidently pressed the shutter button with the lens cap on. I'm seeing a black screen because.......... it's a photo........... of......... a black lens cap .....................

Yep done stupid things like this before. Like couldn't figure out why when I went to take a portrait my light meter thought it was dark and I had to adjust my settings so much from what I thought I'd need. Forgot my ND was on Oops or going to take a photo and its all black only to curse and swear and fiddle with everything meanwhile family members giggle because someone helpfully put a lens cap on....

I've did the lens cap thing too. I also turned my Nikon on then had to answer a question from my wife and forgot I already turn the Nikon on, then tried to turn it on and the switch wouldn't move. So for a few seconds I thought the switch was broken and started to panic, then it hit me it was already on. So I turned it back off, and put it up, till my nerves calmed down again. Lol :D
Man talk about feeling stupid! Lol :D

For me it's been hurry up, hurry up, only have a min to get that sunrise shot. Got it...3 pretty good shots before the light changes. I can breathe again. Get back in the house...sure would have been better if I had put the card back in the camera. Another chance gone forever

I think My worse brain lapse was when I was shooting Bracket shots and forgot to set it back to non bracket. When out later to shoot and was wondering why my exposures were all over the place. Took me a few minutes to realize what was going on.
