Some Gymnastics Shots with the D7000

Thanks for posting these fantastic shots. I also really appreciate you sharing the settings that you used. I'm writing them down so that as soon as my camera gets here, I can try them out.
I am ordering a refurbished Nikon7000 to get some decent gymnastics shots since that's about as much body as I can afford. I'd like to get a nice 2.7 telephoto lens next year but, this year I'm going to try my luck with a fixed 85mm 1.8 since I used up most of my camera budget on body and accessories for the D7000. I'm hoping the fast lens will make up for lack of zoom and I'll be able to get some great pictures of some events even if I'm not lucky enough to close enough to shoot all of them w/ the 85mm (there's always one even stuck far away in the back corner of the dark gym).
Great shots, btw, and good luck to your daughter's team. Our 6 year daughter will competing level 3 this year and our son is competing level 5 in Hawaii region 1. ; )

MileHighAko, Can you tell me what focus settings you are using? Are you using the 3D tracking while you are panning with your subject? I finally broke down and bought a real lens for my daughters competitions however I'm having a hard time dialing in all the settings. Last night we went to a University competition so I could get some more practice before my daughters next competition. I was fully zoomed out at 200m F2.8 1/500 ISO1000 & EXP -0.3
