I just set up on a small table with a basic background. Two 300ws monolights triggerd via RF. Choice of white shoot-through or silver reflecting umbrellas.

Being a static subject, I can take my time to study the lighting, background, bokeh, focus, DOF, exposure, etc.

Here's the SOOC image:

At this point, I just edit using my ordinary PP system... adjust black & white points, contrast, color control points (to darken background), high-pass filter, and do a simply B&W conversion with no color filter option.
