Hi all I would like some critique regarding this photo, it was taken with my Nikon D800 using my 80-400mm VR and a Hydrogen Alpha filter and Bader Solar film filter (homemade). I cannot remember if this was taken using a tripod or not (I think not).
Was I was trying to achieve was a photo of the sun and the surface details. I appear to have gotten all the sunspots. As you may have guessed I have cropped this and it may look noisy but I am sure that is the surface of the sun and not noise. Regardless I am going to endeavour to get a clearer one and hopefully with some solar flares thrown in, their activity should increase over the coming months.
