Been on look out for a new lens but money a bit tight. Wandered through town lunchtime and always have a look in the plethora of pawn shops (Cash Converters etc).

found a Nikon 55-200vr for £60. Had a look at it, quick research of second hand prices and seemed a bargain....

Nipped to cashpoint and when I got back bloody thing had been bought!!

suppose only saving grace is I was ideally looking for a lens upti 300 but still annoying.

Over here we call that Murphy's Law...

Anything that can go wrong, WILL!

Anything that can't possibly go wrong,

STILL DOES!

maybe a blessing in disguise then, i have both and although the 55-200 was great at the start you tend to want/need the extra reach, especially for the moon or wildlife, wait on the 300 and keep looking.

You know that you can get that lens as a refurb for not a lot more money

Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G VR DX AF-S ED Zoom-Nikkor Lens - Factory Refurbished includes Full 1 Year Warranty

I just bought a 18-105 from them a few weeks back. All their refurbs come with a 1 year warranty.

81.37 British Pound Sterling for the 55-200
Thanks for link buddy but courier to UK will add quite a few more quid on! Think I will continue to bide my time...

also as Roy points out knowing me I will want the 300 in a few months anyway
