That's really good advice. I have sat down today and had a look through my photos with this lens. Most of the problems are probably caused by heat haze, the others by me not having a fast enough shutter, or the wrong aperture. When I look at the 737 picture which started life as a JPG, I think I could do something with the NEF version and get myself a picture that would look good enough when printed out to A4 size. I'm not after putting pictures on Airliners.net, I just wanted to get the effects that you can see. I love seeing the exhaust plume standing out behind the engines. I took a picture of an A320 through glass at Vienna Airport last month and thought I had nailed it until I realised I had managed to lose the top of the vertical stabilizer from the picture
