I would say that one of the addons was playing up with the site.

The thing is, I have them all on all my computers with no issue. And after re-installing them we're still OK. Something hiccuped, obviously.

This sounds like a case where I updated some files but the files your computer were cached and did not update. The site is supposed to account for this but it appears it didn't. As long as things are working now then we're all good.

Yeah, but I cleared cache and cookies several times to no avail - unless that really doesn't do what it says. But like you said, at least I'm back to one browser.
