Let me know what you all think. I am always looking for pointers.

TBH, i think if you filled the frame with the flowers (are they?), it would look a lot better.
This looks a tad too busy.. and i took a while to see where your focus point was... unless of course, if that was your intention!
Please do post some EXIF data as well

The elements are all there, some detail, some color, some interesting back-lighting. I don't mind the background as it is sufficiently out of focus to be not too obtrusive and yet still provide a sense of space and place. But there is something very important that is missing compositionally, and this is something that every photographer starting out should be asking him or herself when creating an image, namely what is the center of attention in the frame? In this case there isn't one and that just leaves the eye to wander aimlessly. Composition is about leading the eye to what really matters. This is a collection of flowering plants in nice lighting, but it could be something much more than that and it is up to you to find what that is. There has to be something more than the subject itself that catches your eye. It has to communicate something more than simply beauty or something natural. One could interpret this image as showing the plants as a group but again even with that kind of theme there should still be something that leads the eye on a journey through the frame, a journey that leads us to the message you wish to convey by the image.

I too noticed a lack of a subject and still can't quite see the focal point. I do love those flowers, especially if there's a whole ocean of them.
