I am still getting used to the camera Needa and as this lens was already fitted and as the camera was already on the tripod, I thought 'why not?' It was a good test for both and I'm very pleased with the outcome. I love the Sigma 105 macro lens and I still use it a lot on other makes of camera since the mid noughties. I am actually doing some test shots with it at the moment so I'll post one when I've finished.

Another test as I get used to my new kit. Using the Sigma 105mm macro lens, this is an 8 shot stack of my late wife's rings.

I've been giving the macro setup of D810, Sigma 105mm macro + various extension tubes a workout recently.

Section of a childs charm bracelet.

10BA thread form x 1/4 inch long machine screws.

A bunch of 2mm square x 50mm long coloured matchsticks for hobby use.

A few shots with the D810 and the Sigma 105mm macro on my afternoon walk.

My shaky hands problems is proving a bit of a challenge with close-ups.

..... I wonder if it's a Ficus Elastica (Rubber Plant)?
