Sigma 18-250 lens issue

Hey guys,

Tried a search but couldn't find anything so I'll try here. As he title says, I have a Sigma 18-250 lens and I'm experiencing something weird. I can't point my lens down. Weird, right?

I I can shoot in any other position, but if I point the camera down the zoom of the lens with drop. Say I have zoom at 35, it will drop all the way to 250. Almost like the internals are loose or something. So is this a defect? Any body else experiencing or have experienced this? Thanks in advance!!

It does but zooming back out is difficult while still pointed down. I've heard of lens creep but for it to drop so fast seems slightly excessive. I mean you can actually here it bottom out when it reaches max zoom. I was considering taking it back to my local shop and seeing what they had to say?

Its not a lens i know but it sounds like it may be worth taking it back and compeering it with another sigma 18-250.
