sigma 170 - 500mm

My longest telephoto is the 70 -300 , but I find its just not long enough , it ok at moderate distance and its not always easy to get at your subject as with birds theyvhave a tendency to bugger off. So that's why im looking for a decent quality telephoto lens . So when I buy it I buy the correct one and not think , shit should have bought that other one . 150 -500mm Sigma or the 50 -500mm sigma . Only one way to find out which is better "FIGHT".

A mate is using his in the UK on a Canon at slower shutter speeds than focal length and they are turning out great. So I am going by what he is taking and posting.
