Well I’ve finally got round to updating this subject, thanks for all the suggestions and ideas. I contacted sigma uk last month and was told they would update the firmware on the lens for free. They’re based only 10 miles fro where I work so I popped over after a shift. Was there approximately 20 minutes and was given my lens back and told they had replaced the rubber grips as they were worn. I was then handed the dreaded invoice and the total charge of this was nothing ! All seems ok now as well so a big thank you to sigma uk for sorting this for me b
