Shutter drop and shudder with VR (D3200)

New to the forum, and new to the D3200.

Picked up a refurb, and have a potential issue.

When I use VR, particularly with "Auto" setting, after a shot, when the shutter drops, it moves a bit with a "shudder"...kind of a "tick, tock" after the shutter drops. If I turn off the VR, or if I switch from Auto to another mode (say auto without flash) there is no "tick tock" after the shutter drops.

You can see movement in the viewfinder associated with the tick tock.

Is this normal? Or do I have a problem? Do I need to return this, or am I worried about nothing? Do others have this behavior with D3200 and VR?

Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the reply. The fact that you don't have a tick tock in the shutter with VR set to on with the lens probably means I have an issue.

Anyone else have this? You can see it move after a shot in the viewfinder...

Images seem fine. Just that I have a 90 day warranty and if there is a problem, then I need to get a return going. How is Nikon support? Will they answer the phone?

This is AFTER the shutter closes...a bit after, it goes tick tock, and the viewfinder images shifts with the tick, then shifts back with the tock...but it is AFTER the shutter closes (almost like it's resetting or something).

The he weird part is it seems to happen ONLY on auto mode (with flash). The auto mode without flash has no tick tock (just a nice crisp shutter drop) and no image shift...

So do others have this as well?

My D3100 used to have a little shudder and I guess what could be called a tick-tock with the VR, especially with bigger lenses (55-300mm). I never affected the image, and apparently was quite normal as part of the VR operating.
