This is my entry but I am not including it as part of the photo challenge.

This is the remaining trunk of a Ginko tree that is very common here in Japan. The tree dated back in the 11th century and survived for over 1000 years. It died after the winter of 2010. Most of the shoguns used this tree to ambush invading enemies. Here is a link about the tree and this historical shrine where I took the pictures from the Japanese wedding in the D800 thread.

My first entry is "Jo Jo" he is a homeless man in Adelaide , I asked if I could take his photo and he gave me a great big smile and thumbs up , I shot 3 photos and showed him and he laughed and gave me the thumbs up again ! untitled-7-9_HDR_1-Edit.jpg

Nothing like getting in just under the wire. ;)

Entry #1. An old picket fence that's now held up by the building beside it. The wooden box beside it actually held quite a few rusted nails. Planned repair gone awry?

Entry #2. I don't think this bike will offer up many more rides... in fact, it may soon disappear altogether if Mother Nature continues to have her way.
