Selective colour editing

Wanted an opinion off everyone if they think this is ok, or could it do with something else to finish it.
F/3.5, ISO 400 lens 18-55, camera Nikon d3100, no flash. editing done in photoshop CS5

First i have to say ime not happy,just come back with a picture of a red phone box to try the same with :D:D:D,in answer to your question in my eye ime not sure about the post box being red,i can see why you did it but to me it makes less of a feature of the phone box,that said i like it.

I like the first shot best, but I would tone down the brightness a bit, add a little color saturation, and a little sharpness if it were me.
Here is just a fast and not too great edit just to help give you an idea of what I mean.

Cheers pedroj I see your point. I just don't know what I can do about it. The shot was took at dusk with no flash and really haven't got the experience to know how to change it up. Bill16, I am probably guilty of been blinded by a shot. I have been looking for this for a while and didn't really see the shot any other way. Thanks for giving me other options!

I'm learning too and I think others could give much better examples than I was able to! Lol But my idea was mainly to tone down all that bright white. Also a crop could help to remove some of the white sky if your looking for options that might help. :)
