SD Card Ejecting?

Hi Folks,
This is my first post here as I am in a bit of a bind. I got a D5100 for my 50th birthday in April and went to change the memory card tonight and for some reason I can no longer put a memory card into the reader, they just pop back out again as if they are not catching. It is really annoying as I was hoping to take my camera with me to Ireland tomorrow but instead will have to rely on my back up D90. Has anyone else ever had this problem, and if so how do you resolve it.

I have tried several SD cards but none of them will sit in the housing and just spring back out and I have looked into the housing using a powerful magnifying lamp but cant see anything that looks like it shouldn't be there.

Thanks
Marc

Do you have it oriented correctly? Probably so, but didn't want to overlook it. In any case, Happy 50th to you! Quite a milestone.

Thanks and yes I have the card the right way up and it feels like its going to go into the housing properly then when it should click in place (before you push it out to release the SD card) it just pushes back. The camera is less than three months old so still under warranty but I really don't want the hassle of having to go through Nikon if I can help it as the last time I had a problem with my D90 it took a month to resolve it :(

Thanks again for the kind words :)

Is the little yellow "lock" button on the card pushed to the lock position? Try it the other way and see what happens.
